Behind every crate of safe, fresh, high-quality produce at Quality Produce International is a dedicated and highly experienced Quality Assurance team, bringing together 37 years of combined expertise across food science, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.

The team is led by Catherine Lech, who brings more than 25 years of extensive experience across the food industry. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Food Science & Technology) from RMIT University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Marketing from Curtin University, a Master of Work Health and Safety from the University of Western Australia, and a Diploma of Training and Assessment from SCOPE Vision. Her broad and practical background in food safety, WHS, quality management systems, and leadership underpins QPI’s unwavering commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

A valued member of the QA team since 2021, Fannie Juwono holds a degree in Food Science and Technology from Curtin University and brings prior hands-on experience within the fresh produce sector. Fannie’s strong analytical and technical capabilities have significantly strengthened the team’s ability to capture, analyse, and interpret data – enhancing insights into produce behaviour, shelf life, and quality performance. She is particularly passionate about working closely with growers and internal teams to build a strong food safety culture, helping ensure QPI remains the trusted partner of choice for customers seeking safe, fresh, premium produce.

Muneeba Fatima, a recent graduate of Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition, adds fresh perspective, enthusiasm, and contemporary scientific knowledge to the team. Her academic foundation supports QPI’s focus on evidence-based quality assurance and compliance practices as she continues to develop her career within the fresh produce industry.

Together, the Quality Assurance team plays a critical role in daily product assessments, facility inspections, and close collaboration with growers on produce testing, QA certification, and regulatory compliance. Their collective experience, scientific expertise, and collaborative approach ensure that Quality Produce International consistently delivers produce that meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity – from farm to customer.
